The #1 myth about Ron Paul is that he has any chance at all, under any circumstances, to be the President of these United States.

I agree with Ron Paul of fiscal issues.Period.
However his foreign policy views leave a lot to be desired.
Furthermore, I have seen too many of his supporters in Austin vote for Obama in 2008 after Paul was defeated by McCain.

One fact about Ron Paul:
He is a loose cannon nutjob egomaniac.

You and I don’t agree all that often, but when you’re right you’re right, and here you certainly are right.
The number one myth about Paul is that more than a handfull of people are bat-s**t-crazy enough to vote for him.
What I personally admire about Ron the most, is his dedication to destroying himself in the eyes of every American.
Keep up the good work Ron. Only a few folks left...

I’d take Paul over any of the current crop of losers vying for the Pub nomination.

4. Ron Paul is anti-military. Unlike his fellow, er, top-tier candidates Gingrich and Romney, Paul served his country in uniform, as an Air Force captain.... While Pentagon brass might oppose his defense cuts, troops seem to like what he is saying.... Like John F'n Kerry, John S McCain and John P Murtha? Service does not predict conservatism. I do appreciate his service to our nation though.

Oh, Bats... you just got yourself put on a list.
I'm a Ron Paul fan myself, but I don't talk about him here. It's not worth getting shouted down, or purged.

Ron Paul seems like the odd duck because he is in fact the only sane candidate in the race.
He's the only one who truly supports the Constitutional and its original intent.
Yeah, that makes him an oddball when compared to the others. I'll vote for that kind of oddball.

Arlo Guthrie supporting Ron Paul???? Wow, either ole' Arlo has turned over a new leaf or the world has turned upside down. I love Arlo's music and he makes me laugh, but this is the guy who wrote a Christmas song comparing Santa to a hippie commie (Pause for the Claus)...

Not to defend Mr. Paul who sometimes seems to go out of his way to ignore legitimate concerns of Israel and to put too much blame on US polices, but isolation is not a dirty word. For a long time, some our greatest conservatives like Robert Taft tended toward isolationism. It's true that total isolation is not possible or desirable, but neither is absolute interventionism and a lot of people think we should move our national conduct toward the isolation direction.
The interventionists are right when they say that the oceans and distance are not as insulating as before but they are gravely wrong when they imply that our geographical separation means nothing. Our location means we can still insulate our security to a greater degree than any other great power and the aim of American policy should be to avoid conflict. If we cannot avoid war, our policy should strive for America to be the LAST power to enter a general war, not the FIRST!
To: BatMite
I will support the GOP nominee, so long as they don’t move the party further to the left (such as Romney and Huntsman would).
Ron Paul would be my least favorite amongst those I would support. He is honorable, a solid fiscal conservative and a Constitutionalist. However he significantly lacks reality on the 911 attacks and the consequences of modern warfare. I disagree that the muder of an unborn human is a states-right issue. And Ron Paul flip-flopped on his self-imposed term limits.
