Proof that grants ARE available to just about anyone to study just about anything.
I wonder how I can get a grant to engage in further study of this subject?

Don’t just look at the ridiculousness of the study. Think about what the study is designed to accomplish. Someone, somewhere will use the results of the study to further an agenda. In fact, the study was probably done with that very intention.

I feel that this subject merits additional research.
I am requesting a government grant to provide me with ample quantities of liquor and a list of sorority houses for me to visit so that I can conduct additional experiments. All in the name of science, of course.
