Beck is making a good point. There is a method to his madness. The question is how did we get to this place where it is a choice between a Gerald Ford and a Nixon like candidate? There is no reason to shoot the messenger. Also the anti-Paul stuff is a little much. I don’t care for his foreign policy but then again has what we’ve been doing been working so well? When did the Tea Party become the defender of the status quo? I disagree with Savage that Romney is better than Gingrich and I disagree with Beck that Newt is the same as Romney. My primary worry with Newt is penchant for self destruction and sticking his head down ‘rabbit holes’.
Newt could surprise but he still strikes me as a Nixon-like candidate. Right now I’m hoping Bachmann will get some traction but till then I’m pleased to see someone crushing Romney. Once he is gone we can start worrying about how to get rid of Newt. :-) Alot can change, Newt’s advantage now is that he has been attacked and attacked and attacked. Even the left is struggling because its like beating a dead horse come back to life and about to eat your brains. lol
Right now I’m in wait and see mode but I’m counting my blessings. My expectations of Romney’s demise are following along perfectly on schedule. Didn’t think it would be Newt who would undo him and still my intuition still says he won’t be the one.
Agree on all points.
“how did we get to this place where it is a choice between a Gerald Ford and a Nixon like candidate?”
Are you sure about that? Sorry, I didn’t mean to answer a question with another question.
