If you call ruling over the entire EU, with most of its countries acting as your sycophants, and making a $12 billion
profit off the crisis at the same time "paying a heavy price", then let's all pay that price, yes?
It's not enough to be "productive" to be vindicated. Soviet Russia was "productive" under Stalin, as Red China today continues to be "productive"; but are they beneficent or maleficent? Besides, how does Germany go from the "sick man of Europe" to being so "productive" within a bit over half a decade . . . ?
