They told us McCain was best to beat Obama as well.

Faux News will have to drop Scott Rasmussen from the guest list. His polls don’t compute with their Romney polls.

“They told us McCain was best to beat Obama as well.”

As if we had another candidate that could have beaten that jug eared lying bastrd. He was in from the minute Bill pulled the Clintons out.

Was that between Romney, Huckabee and McCain?

If so, Romney ain’t never gonna win. Not then, not now. Don’t know about Huckabee (he was far from an all around conservative choice). McCain wasn’t a conservative favorite either, just happened to be the last man standing. Would have lost all 57 states had it not been for the Hail Mary pass, Sarah Palin.

Polls don’t move much until the candidates debate. Look how Gingrich has risen for no other reason (certainly not money).

When Newt debates Obama, the polls will shift 15 points in Newt’s direction. Bet on it.

The “truth” is, you don’t know for certain what the truth is. But you will quickly inform us of it anyway.

A: The poll is almost completely meaningless at this point before the General Election, and,

B: It only measures Republican support against Obama, which too is meaningless.

Get back to me with a national poll of likely voters showing a specific Republican candidate beating Obama by double digit numbers.

Newt's not going to convert many Rat voters, they've been told he's the devil incarnate. They won't question, they're still convinced he is ‘Newt Grinch-rich’.
Newt supposedly has trouble with the independents, the good news there, is Zero has completely lost them. The question is ‘Can Newt make the sale with them?’. If they stay home or convince themselves that Gingrich is Grinch-rich its going to be tight & a long night. If they convince themselves that Grinch-rich is Gingrich and not the fire breathing radical the Rats & the media have portrayed him in the past, then we win big. I don't think Gingrich's “social baggage” and occasional questionable “How-can-that-be-a-conservative-position?” stands register much with them.

OMG Watching Fox is akin to being in the Romney campaign HQ - Gregg Jarrett (with his face in a painful grimace), ‘how does Mitt get back on message?’ and ‘do you think Gingrich can be hurt by his marital baggage?’ and ‘many polls show Mitt did very well with that issue’ and ‘how can Mitt benefit from blah, blah, blah?’

With friends like Fox - Romney doesn’t need paid media advertising.

The only Balanced Budget in our lifetime - FOUR YEARS straight,
The only entitlement reform in our lifetime,
The first Conservative majority in four decades,
The only GOP candidate -since Reagan- to actually have a brain and who actually has the ability speak clearly on issues,

I think I’ll take my chances with Newt !

The latest Rasmussen Reports survey of Election 2008 shows Republican frontrunner Senator John McCain with single-digit leads over Democratic Senators Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. McCain now leads Clinton 48% to 40%. He leads Barack Obama 47% to 41%. — January 30, 2008

This is about the same time period, due to voting date differences. (Actually - need one from a bit earlier in the month as Iowa had voted for Huckabee at this point.)

I also don’t picture Mitt or Newt picking a running mate more conservative than they are as that might point out their own lack of clothes.

You get most of your political views from glenn beck and it shows.

Beck has become a nasty, sanctimonious, preachy guy, that is taking himself way too seriously.

There was a time when beck had the ability to convey serious ideas without whining and preaching, but now he is suffering from the same complex that obama has, and neither have any reason to believe that they are the one.

I am with you. Newt has what it takes to bypass the media to get his message out.

Years ago, when he first came up with Reagan, he was a real thorn in the side of the Democrats. I really liked him then, but over the years, especially after ‘96 or so, he changed, and not for the better.

He has evolved, it seems, into an ultimate Washington insider, where he has no compunction about schmoozing up with the beasts on the left.

He undoubtedly has some good ideas, and an encyclopedic knowledge of the ins and outs of the federal government as it exists today, but let's face it - he's a technocrat at best, and really shows little, if any, gravitas when it comes to displaying leadership qualities.

I really don't trust him with the reins of the presidency, and can only say he'd be better than Obama in the sense that a 3-day old glass of water is better than no water at all, if you get my meaning...

CA....
