Thanks for taking the time to up the statement in question.

From No Apology: The Case for American Greatness - First Edition:

"From now on, no one in Massachusetts has to worry about losing his or her health insurance if there is a job change or a loss in income; everyone is insured and pays only what he or she can afford. It’s portable, affordable health insurance—something people have been talking about for decades. We can accomplish the same thing for everyone in the country, and it can be done without letting government take over health care."

The line “We can accomplish the same thing for everyone in the country, and it can be done without letting government take over health care.” is missing from the subsequent editions. The Romney camp explains this as a clarification; from FactCheck.org More Baloney… and confirmed at various other sites:

As we have written a couple of times before, the book was revised and this line was removed: “We can accomplish the same thing for everyone in the country.” But the phrase “the same thing” refers to the goals of the state law: “portable, affordable health insurance,” not the controversial individual mandate or the entire law. Romney saw the Massachusetts plan as a potential model for other states, if they so choose, but not as a federal mandate.

It's as simple as that. The reader is left to make what he wishes from the statement as well as its' subsequent omission regardless of what these web sites or pundits purport. It's a state of mind; rather like parsing
what "is" is
