TEHRAN, IRAN Iranian experts are in the final stages of recovering data from the U.S. surveillance drone captured by the country's armed forces, state TV reported Monday.
Tehran has flaunted the drone's capture as a victory for Iran and a defeat for the United States in a complicated intelligence and technological battle.
Lawmaker Parviz Sorouri, who is on the parliament's national security and foreign policy committee, said Monday the extracted information will be used to file a lawsuit against the United States for the "invasion" by the unmanned aircraft.

CAN WE TRADE THEM DRONES??!!!
Cuz we got one in D.C. that we’d cough up in a heart beat!
The Pubbies need to clobber Obama on this colossal fiasco from now until the election.
“Decoded”? What moron thinks that Iran doesn’t have a full set of service manuals?
what they mean is:
Red goes to positive
Black goes to negative
Green must be the ground.
The iranians couldn’t decode anything if you gave them your Capn’ Crunch decoder ring.
The russians and chinese on eht other hand.....
hopefully it reads:
“be sure to drink your ovaltine”
LLS
Sending SOF to recover it was stooped idea on Pentagon’s part. we dont need the drone? it costs $18Mil thats much less than the cost of putting lives of Highly Trained Operatives on the line to recover it. The only option was to destroy it from the air,and deny everything.
Waiting for congressional investigation of why Obama didn’t let them do it. If this is not Treason I don’t know what is!
Who are those people?
Betcha they still don’t have a current McAfee update after the last “software” situation these Magic Carpet riders got into.
Seriously though, it is certainly not beyond beleif that the Indo-Kenyan muslim in the Whiteyhut gave them the full monty.
BS from the pentagon, the destruction should have been automatic and should have taken place within flight time for an armed drone. No authorization should have been required.
Good. Check the info. Share it with others. I get the feeling there’s more than just standard code on it.
That’s what I was thinking/hoping. The one thing I think we can all count on, we the public are not now, nor will we probably ever get the whole story behind this. Misinformation is one of the militaries bread and butter areas.
“Well, they MAY be recovering data - but, decrypting that data might prove a challenge ...”
Not if they are given the crypto keys. After all, this drone just happened to “crash” without a single mark on it, obastard refused to let our military retake or destroy it, and obastard hates America. I wouldn’t put it past him to just hand over the keys...
Don't be surprised if it's a non-working version of the drone which has been loaded with all sorts of goodies.
***Obama is still an idiot for not having this destroyed before Iran got their hands on it!***
Reminds me of the NK capture of the USS PUEBLO, and I am livid!
It also causes me to ask if the “unnamed source” story of Panetta and Hillery bypassed Obama and Valerie Jarrett, and issued orders to kill Osama Bin Laden, might have some weight.
That would involve someone in the DOD making the (correct) keys available to Obama - which I doubt anyone would do.
