I'm also not following your "pride" thing. I'm prideful because at this point in my Christian walk I have begun to question man made traditions in light of scripture and what may or may not be pleasing to my Father? How is that anything but humble? Isn't it prideful, rather, to insist that we know better than He does?
Plenty of Christians reject Halloween because of its origins. There are similar origins for elements of Christmas and Easter. Why are they ok? I'm not sure they are anymore.
