A friend of mine told me he was carrying his 1911 with one in the pipe and the hammer down.

If the gun gets drop on the hammer it will go off.

I carry my CZ that way. Seems I read somewhere that it's alright with the CZ.

I do it mainly because I worry about the ambidextrous safety getting bumped off while carrying. Besides, the DA trigger on the CZ is smooth and easy.
