You are 100% correct. It boggles my mind how anyone with any understanding of the 2008 election can be supporting a repeat in 2012. If GOP voters nominate McNewt as their candidate, then they deserve what they get - four more years of Obama.
On style alone, the American voter will no longer connect with any candidate born before 1950. And to think that Newt Gingrich is older than George W. Bush. So here it is twelve years later, and we're going to nominate someone older than Bush? Like I said, McCain all over again.
I recall that McCain refused to go after Obama and his obvious flaws/gaffs. Gingrich has shown that he is unafraid to go after Obama on any front. So your assertion that Gingrich=McCain is seriously flawed.
I'm 41. I have strong opinions and am not shy about expressing them. But I also know that I have not experienced or learned as much as my elders. So I make a point to watch, listen, and learn. I was raised by my grandparents, who were from the Depression era. I learned much from them but one of the most valuable lessons I learned is that age brings wisdom through experience.
Obama connected with the voters. He won their hearts with verbal cadence. The problem is that he had no experience and therefore no wisdom to share. Newt's age is not a negative, it's a positive. He's faced down these communist bastards before. He knows their strategy. He's aptly suited to defeat them AGAIN.
