Palestinians attack Gingrich comment on 'invented' people (Terrorists can't handle the truth...)

Senior Palestinian leaders on Saturday strongly criticized comments by Republican presidential frontrunner Newt Gingrich that the Palestinians are an "invented" people, calling the comments ignorant and racist.

Top Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erakat said the Gingrich remark was "the most racist statement I've ever seen." Erakat, who has negotiated in talks with Israel and the United States, said the remarks show "how really despicable things can get" in American politics.

"Such thinking should be an alarm and concern for the world," Erakat said.

Gingrich made the comments in an interview that aired Friday with The Jewish Channel, a U.S. cable channel.

"I believe that the Jewish people have the right to have a state," Gingrich said in the interview. "Remember, there was no Palestine as a state. It was part of the Ottoman Empire. And I think that we've had an invented Palestinian people, who are in fact Arabs, who are historically part of the Arab community."

Can someone please show me which part of Newt's statement referred to the Arabs who call themselves "Palestinians" by their skin color, or other physical attributes? I love how these Mooselimb savages can redefine "racist" as having nothing to do with race, and CNN drools along.

LOL.

They might as well call themselves a “race” because they’re sure not a “people”.

But Gingrich press secretary R.C. Hammond said Saturday that the candidate backs "a negotiated peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians, which will necessarily include agreement between Israel and the Palestinians over the borders of a Palestinian state."

How can there be a Palestinian state is there is no such thing as a Palestinian?

How can “Palestines” get miffed when they don’t exist?

Whether Newt is right or not, whether "the palestinians" are a made-up people or not, they still need a place to live.
May I recommend Hell?

Besides their future home, Hell, they had a home in Jordan. Until Jordan felt threatened and kicked them and Arafat out. It's in Jordan's best interest to help Israel survive. Jordan has the friendlier "palestinians" (a political entity, not a race).

Eventually they became nothing more than tax slaves to that empire ~ which impoverished them, destroyed their higher culture, and left them in an unenviable degenerate state.

They seem to prefer a degenerate state, especially if they can destroy the Jews.

He’s correct again ... they are “invented.” What’s the “hoopla” all about? A man states a fact and CNN can’t handle it?

Not only is Newt Gingrich spot on with his comments regarding the fallacy of a 'Palestinian people' the fact that the Palestinian 'negotiator' went ballistic over it makes Newt's case as he speaks the truth and the whole house of cards that is built on the 'Palestinian' fabrication begins to quiver. This kind of honesty by Gingrich is going to increase his poll numbers exponentially but the left is going to come at him with a vengeance, of course. However, I believe Newt can handle it.

If the American people favor Gingrich's stand here (demonstrated by rising approval numbers in the polls) he is going to capture the Republican presidential nomination and defeat the corrupt, America-hating Obama. If Americans buy the PC bilge and reject Gingrich's speaking the truth about the fabricated 'Palestinian question', we're screwed and RINO Romney will probably be victorious and either lose to Obama or defeat him and give us more of the same, only watered down. We'll soon find out.

Mehmet Ali, the de facto independent governor of Egypt in the early 19th century, might have overthrown the Ottomans if the western powers had not intervened on the sultan's behalf. Who knows how later Middle Eastern history would have played out if that had been allowed to happen.

Before WWI, Egypt was no longer under Turkish control (rather under British), Libya was under Italy, Tunisia and Algeria were under France, and Morocco was divided between France and Spain. Much of the Arabian peninsula was not under effective Ottoman control.

Mehmet Ali, whose family ruled Egypt until 1952, was of Albanian descent.

North Africa achieved independence later than Mesopotamia and the Arabian peninsula due to the involvement of the French and British.

Yes, but the Turks still ruled Iraq, Syria, and Palestine until the First World War, whereas they lost control of the other areas sooner. Libya became independent only in 1951 despite Italy having been one of the Axis powers (they gave up the Dodecanese sooner, in 1947). Even after the French let Tunisia and Morocco go, they tried to hold on to Algeria--Algeria did not become independent until 1962.

Truman's quick recognition of Israel was helpful, but he didn't create the state--it came into being through the efforts of its citizens.
