First of all, I have never lied on this forum - and rarely been mistaken - but if I am mistaken then that’s what it is: a mistake.

Having said that, it is widely understood that the US ran some surplus budgets in the 1990’s. Here is one source among many:

Speaking of flat out lies, your screen name appears to be just that. You have a childish ranting way of presenting your point, far different from any editor or surveyor I have ever known - and I have known many of the former and a handful of the latter.

If you want to debate, fine. If you want to throw little childish tantrums, go away.

There has been no balanced budget since the fall of 1959.

Noot & Bill’s “balanced budget” totally ignored the cost of interest due on the bonds and T-Certs.
