The ease that he lies with so blatantly is amazing. Him and all the Rats. Up is down, truth is lie, war is peace. Jeesus, even Clinton gave people a shred of truth in the lie to hang on to.
This crap is just “In your face” garbage.
Now that he thinks that he is the president of the whole world he just phones it in. There is no effort to be real on his part.
re: “The ease that he lies...”
Generally true but, in this particular instance, Obama is not lying. He sincerely believes that extending unemployment insurance will add many more jobs than the Keystone XL pipeline.
His highly educated and intelligent and well-respected council of economic advisers have told him this. Their advice is well grounded in generally accepted Keynesian economic models. All of this comports nicely with Obama’s own very limited economic education as well as his political interests. Both Obama and his economic advisers truly believe that extending unemployment insurance benefits will increase economic growth and create jobs as informed by their Keynesian economic models.
Of course, the fact that virtually all politicians of both parties are Keynesians (whether they have the economic education to know it or not; most politicians are economic illiterates and merely glom onto one Keynesian fashion or another) exacerbates the problem. Among the Republican candidates there are but two exceptions: Michele Bachmann and Ron Paul, though sometimes Newt expresses a non-Keynesian heresy.
