The powerful International Longshore and Warehouse Union, which represents most of the port workers whom protesters say they are supporting, has publicly rejected the blockade effort.

This would impact US citizens that rely on shipping for supplies. You have heard of Alaska and Hawaii? Most of the stuff arrives via shipping.

THe ILWU has been led by communists since the 1930’s (Harry Bridges, Martin Hall, Archie Brown, Jim Herman, etc). It is interesting that you say that the most radical unions “Seattle” and possibly Vancouver, do not want to implement Obama’s plans.
Where do you get this potentially important information about the ILWU locals? Oakland and San Francisco apparently are just run by the heirs to their CPUSA predecessors.

I live in Longview, WA. Many ILWU longshoreman are embarrassed by what has been happening here at the Port of Longview. The activities, such as violent demonstrations and vandalism, is being ordered from outside the state.
This is per information I’ve received from family members who have brothers, fathers, husbands, who belong to the union. Local businesses, formerly supporters of ILWU, have taken down their signs of support. Unemployment here is 25% and it isn’t better in Seattle-Tacoma.
You are correct about how radical the Longshoreman have been on the west coast, and I’m sure they will go along with whaterver Obama and the Marxists demand, but it will be grudging cooperation. Most of these people are solid supporters of the 2nd Amendment and military veterans who love their country.

ILWU Longshoremen in Longveiw, WA. - All of the violence was instigated from OUTSIDE the local area - with Cloward-Piven being the driving purpose.
The county here, Cowlitz County, is having budget problems.
The whole purpose is to overload the system and cause collapse.
