What's interesting is the number of "mays," "cans," and other weasel words within the health risks summary. I especially like the word "nonetheless."

That entire report boils down to we wish we could come up with some concrete evidence that marijuana is bad for you, but the best we can do is imply that it should be bad for you.

After 50 years of trying, they still can't come up with anything more than what we all knew back in the 60's--the smoke is heavier and thicker and you retain it longer so it will cause more hacking and coughing and is more likely to cause problems like emphysema. It can make some folks paranoia, short-term memory loss . . . uhhh where was I . . . oh yeah, and it causes lassitude that can make ones inertia exceptionally high (thus it can sap one's motivation to do things) etc.

It should be legal. It is one of the most innocuous substances humans consume.

I don't use it anymore because I finally outgrew it, but I think it is simply stupid and criminal that it is not legal when a poison like alcohol is.

Not surprisingly, marijuana intoxication can cause distorted perceptions, impaired coordination, difficulty with thinking and problem solving, and problems with learning and memory. Research has shown that, in chronic users, marijuana’s adverse impact on learning and memory can last for days or weeks (but with alcohol, its permanent) after the acute effects of the drug wear off.

I dare you to compare this with the affects of alcohol, especially the long term affects, marijuana is much safer.
