Didn’t any of these people have a window fan in there home. They would know how the fan (window turbine) pulled air in and kept everything cool in the summer. Well they’re pulling all that Arctic air down on themselves with these huge fans....../s
I think the blades will bring the towers down once they catch the wind just right.
BTW, this in NOT the same one in the photo above.
California Golden Eagles are claiming responsibility and threaten further acts of revenge ...
>>Theres something creepy looking about them.
On that note, don’t miss this comic take on that theme:

I always thought those turbines were suppose to have a governor or a “clutch” that would disengage or prevent the thing from winding out over a certain rpm.
As speeds increase, so do the effects of balance. The other issue is the design of the bearings to withstand those speeds in conjunction with the rotational imbalances. Everything magnified then and most likely would fall apart from the vibrational effects, not to mention any harmonics that would exponentially magnify all of the stresses.
Again, it costs more to attain, but if they are so hell bent on building more of these gawd awful things just simply add variable pitch blade mechanisms like aircraft use. Then they might be able to maximize the low airspeed conditions in addition to make them just sticks in the wind during high speeds by controlling the rotational speeds with pitch.
It looks like it’s not just on fire. It looks like the turbine is turning into plasma.
(you are so subtle)
HEY ALL, if you read the comments at the ARTICLE LINK, you will find that that 165mph WIND figure was a ONE-OFF case , measured at the peak of some local mountain.
NO ONE ELSE has noticed this yet, but if you look at the photo, the WIND TURBINE that is on FIRE is facing the opposite direction of the other two.
I did notice that. It must have been spun around by the wind.
Now, had they gone with these, there would be no problems with the wind, or changing directions of the wind, and they could put a 100 of these in the same spot ONE of the large turbines takes up.
You are correct. Want to see it spinning round and then catching fire?
Wind Turbine in Scotland catches fire.
