Have you considered the fact the Mitt and Newt are both on the same GOP establishment side?

Think about it ...

People don’t want to admit the obvious.

The fact is it’s always a bad thing when the main motivation supporting your campaign is that the other guy is hated more. That doesn’t work at the Presidential level.

Just once wouldn’t it be nice to actually vote FOR someone rather than having to vote AGAINST anyone? If anything about the Newt polling numbers shows, it’s that Romney isn’t viable at all. There’s by far a majority of voters that won’t vote for him. So we can essentially stop Romney with just about anyone (including an orange juice can).

Bachmann or Santorum can/should win this thing because they stand for what conservatives/tea party activists stand for.
They got 24 days to get it right.

Actually no. Because if you look at the poll numbers, Romney’s numbers have remained essentially unchanged. He’s always in the mid-20s. That suggests his supporters don’t like anyone else in the field.

Also, Republicans in D.C. don’t like Newt at all and are still pulling for Romney to win. If Newt was truly the establishment-favored candidate...they would have all jumped on his bandwagon. Instead, they are all staying on Romney.
