A Macys department store employee in San Antonio, Texas, has been fired for not allowing a cross-dressing young man to return to the womens dressing room, according to a law firm that specializes in religious freedom cases.
Natalie Johnson said she told the young man politely that he could not go back into the dressing room after seeing him exit the womens fitting room, reported Liberty Counsel, a group of advocacy lawyers.
Johnson said the man was wearing make-up and girls clothing and told her that he is a female. The cross-dresser was accompanied by five other individuals, who argued with expletives that Macys was LGBT-friendly, according to Liberty Counsels statement.
The Macys employee reportedly said to the group that the company is also non-discriminatory toward religion, and that it would go against her religious beliefs to lie that he was a woman or compromise with homosexuality.
After receiving a complaint from the group, the Macys manager informed Johnson of the companys LGBT policy which allows transgender people to change in any dressing room they desire. Johnson argued that the same policy also protects against religious discrimination. She felt her beliefs were being violated, say Liberty Counsel officials.
Johnson was reported to have been fired for refusing the managers request to follow the company LGBT policy, saying she would not go against her religious beliefs.
Macys policy which allows men to use the womens dressing room is fraught with problems, stated Mathew Staver, founder and chairman of Liberty Counsel. This policy will cause significant problems and will alienate the majority of Macys customers.

Wow. Time to boycott Macy’s... oh wait, I never went there in my life
A Macy’s employee is fired for stopping a male pervert from using the ladies’ dressing room, where my wife and daughter might be changing?
So long Macy’s.
Won’t be shopping at Macy’s anytime soon.
No such thing as "transgender." You either are or you're not. Every single one of the billions of cells in you body is either male or female.
This "transgender" crap is just that . . . crap. You would think that Macy's would want to protect their customers from these perverts at all costs. Spit in the EYE of LGBT (or whatever the hell they're called).
My God . . . what is happening to our country?
So basically any perv possible rapist could dress up as a women and be allowed into a womens dressing room?
That being said if it is their policy as an employee you have to follow it. The employee may not have been fired if she agreed to follow the companies policy. I don’t agree with the policy but as a worker you have no choice but to oblige.
I don't want a man in my dressing area when I'm trying on clothes.
Not shopping at Macy's anymore.
I’ve had it. This PC crap is going to cause the rape of some young female.
I’m heading to Macy’s and telling them I will no longer do business with them.
The cross dresser was accompanied by five other individuals? Why? So these individuals could be witnesses as they expressed their mock outrage at what happened, and decried their fate as 2nd class LGBT people? And to gather evidence for the planned lawsuit????
Nordstrom's 1, Macy's 0.
This news about Macys comes as a shock?????

I hope the Liberty Counsel is prepared to help her pursue a wrongful termination claim, possibly as part of an unemployment compensation claim. The firing certainly appears to lack good cause, even in Obama America.
Magistrate: “So let me make sure I understand: we all agree that the employee, with a duty to supervise customers taking articles of clothing into dressing rooms, was terminated for objecting to a man using the women’s changing room.”
Eventually, Macy’s LGBT policy will be used by sex offender voyeurs to surreptitiously photo or film underage female customers.
They’ll get sued by the victims.
Then they’ll change their policy and will be safe from LGBT discrimination suits because they’ll have a legitimate and rational business reason to point at for disallowing males in the female dressing room.
Thank a lawyer for making this a nation where even common sense must be litigated and given a court seal of approval.
Obviously there's not.
Could have been a male posing as a tranny. Did Macy’s have a sign that said tranny’s welcome in ladies dressing room?
If I had been there and ran into that person I would sue the store.
She made the right decision.
Macy’s is a dumbazz store and will lose my business unless they rehire her with a big raise.
I’m curious, are separate male and female changing areas common now? I don’t buy new clothes from retail “brick and mortar” stores often, but when last I went the dressing rooms were not split up. At one store I frequent, the fitting rooms are almost like a small wicker hut (they’re more substantial, but not not really, lol) out in the middle of the sales floor. In one store, there is often a line to use those located near the men’s area, so I just walk over to the huts near the women’s area. No one has ever said anything, and the women often go to the “men’s area” too (actually, that’s why I quit waiting in line, goose and gandar, and all).
In the old days, I remember fitting rooms being back behind a wall, and strictly separated by gender. I would never feel comfortable trying to get into an obviously private area, but I also wouldn’t dress as a woman either. I was just curious if the fitting rooms are still segregated, because I don’t see it much in this area, these days.
Also, cross dressers were prevalent at a job I had years ago (customer service), so much so that they had a separate bathroom and dress policy for them. I never used the restroom at the same time one of the tranvestites did (I hardly used the restroom at work anyway), but I know a lot of other guys that had one of them walk into the restroom when they were there and it made them angry. I knew a few girls that had it happen to, also, and they seemed not to care as much, depending on the original gender (girls dressed as men bothered them less than men dressed as girls, whereas the males/men hated either one in thier restroom).
