Official Confirms Authenticity of Iranian TV Images Showing Lost U.S. Drone

A senior U.S. official has confirmed to Fox News that images aired by Iranian state television do in fact show the secret U.S. drone that went down last week in eastern Iran.

"Yep, that's it," the official told Fox News. "And it's intact."

U.S. officials had been expecting the video to appear. The footage, which shows the aircraft intact, confirms the Iranians have custody of the drone but appears to refute Iranian claims that it shot down the RQ-170 drone.

With early knowledge that the aircraft had likely remained intact, the senior U.S. official also told Fox News that President Obama was presented with three separate options for retrieving or destroying the drone. The president ultimately decided not to proceed with any of the plans because it could have been seen as an act of war, the official told Fox News.

It is being said that our CinC and our State Department don't want to hurt Iran's feelings hence the decision not to make a fast grab of the Drone and bring it back......you simply can't make this stuff up....

He will analyze how this will affect his campaign; wait for public opinion feedback; and then deliberately do absolutely nothing.

Maybe the Iranians were worried about an auto-destruct mechanism, and needed time to search for and neutralize it, provided the drone actually has one.

To be honest, if I were in their shoes, I would assume it does have some kind of auto-destruct. Better safe than sorry, as the old adage goes.

Are these the type of drones we may have sold to Israel? Maybe our governments way if giving Iran a heads up?

My questions are, Why wasn’t the drone bombed by U.S. aircraft or a cruise missile fired at the landing site?

I believe doing that would be what is called an unprovoked act of war. No need to enter WW3 just because of a drone that we can't keep track of.

Not only that, wouldn’t you think it has a GPS locator devise built into it. That way if one does go missing or crash you could send a followup cruise missile to destroy it.

Looks shockingly like a cylon raider.
The fact Obama let this kind of tech get in Iran's hands is pure Jimmy Carter.

Our pussy president, he again voted ‘absent’.

Didn’t we also lose that ultra-secret stealth helicopter under Zero?

This is no accident. It’s in pristine condition. The only thing missing is the silver platter and a card. Wouldn’t be surprised if it had a full tank of gas, an owner’s manual in the glove box, and a spare key under the sun visor. We’ve got traiters inside the gate people.

To hell with the drone.

I’ll take a Cylon Raider, please.

A bio-mechanical flying weapon armed with nuclear missiles? Oh yeah, that’s what I’m talking about.

perhaps it’s just wishful thinking, but one would hope such sentiments are merely the festive bow on a gift that keeps on giving . . .think stuxnet I & II.

The aircraft shown has major differences with the RQ-170. I t’s a model, a mockup, a fake.

Also, if it was shot down or crashed after running out of fuel it would show damage.

If it was guided down to land on an airstrip or road, they would have pictures of it there at the landing location, wheels down on the ground, somewhere.

Letting a Stealth Drone fall into enemy hands for our enemies to send back to us in their own version would be a major coup would it not?
