To "her", history begins and ends with whatever party has the position that best fits her agenda. She is apparently a single issue voter, and, she's only preferring Obama because, he's not advocating against gay rights or the gay agenda.
The democratic party supports the gay agenda because it represents a whole bunch of votes that they wouldn't otherwise get. The democrat voters are just a bunch of constituencies "tied" together by the desire of the democratic party to win elections by any means.
