This is the same nonsense that they pulled with Cigarettes. They scream stop smoking it's bad for you and they raise the tax on them and soon people start to cut back. And then the libs scream that the tax revenue on cigs is down and so they raise it again all the while telling you, you should stop smoking. And when you do just that they again raise the tax because the revenues are down. They are never happy. If they do add a per mile tax, you can bet the farm that they will not drop the tax on Gasoline. And eventually they will raise the mileage tax when they find that the revenues are down. It is all about power. Plan and simple. You can't have the peons doing as they like. And when the peons finally can't take any more and go on a tear, the "elites" can't understand why it happened. And I don't mean the OWS nonsense. Where a spoiled brat with money is crying he has to be treated like everyone else. I mean when the average joe finally gets tired of this crap. And it looks like that day is coming soon.

They did the same thing with cars.. Zero has been pushing the dolt and other “fuel efficient” cars for 3 years now. others pushed it too. They even dump our tax dollars in to cars that will never use a drop of gasoline while on our streets (Leaf and other plug ins)
