Obummer conveniently forgets what Teddy Roosevelt said of
Immigrants in both 1915, and again in 1918 How our allegiance must be purely to the United States... and how there is no room for divided allegiance here ...One language, English... One loyalty to the American people. ‘ I wonder how Roosevelt’s
statement that “... we are to stand by the President ,right or wrong is not only unpatriotic, and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.” Where was there any mention of the FAIR TAX” in that speech on equality?
I missed it. And Where was the 0 when the Democrats attached Military Appropriations to repeal of Article 125
and doing away with penalty for attempted sodomy and or for
bestiality— es verdad Hussein has been doing the pooch and the American public for years now.
Theodore Roosevelt on Class and Class Warfare:
“We must now see that there never
comes any spirit of class antagonism in this country,
any spirit of hostility between capitalist and wageworker,
between employer and employed; and we can
avoid the upgrowth of any such feeling by remembering
always to treat each man on his worth as a man. Do not
hold it for him or against him that he is either rich or
poor. If he is a crooked man and rich, hold it against
him, not because he is rich, but because he is crooked.
If he is not a rich man and crooked, hold it against him,
still because he is crooked. If he is a square man, no
matter how much or how little money he has, stand by
him because he is a square man. Distrust more than any
other man in this Republic the man who would try to
teach Americans to substitute loyalty to any class for
loyalty to the whole American people. Republics have
flourished before now, and have fallen; and they have
usually fallen because there arose within them parties
that represented either the unscrupulous rich or the
unscrupulous poor, and that persuaded the majority of
the people to substitute loyalty to the one class for
loyalty to the people as a whole.”
- Theodore Roosevelt, speech at City Park,
Little Rock, Arkansas, 25 October 1905
“Distrust above all other men the
man who seeks to make you pass judgment upon your
fellow citizens upon any ground of artificial distinction
between you and them. Distrust the man who seeks to
get you to favor them or discriminate against them
either because they are well off or not well off, because
they occupy one social position or another, because
they live in one part of the country or another, or
because they profess one creed or another.”
- Theodore Roosevelt at unveiling of monument to dead of 1st U. S. Volunteer
Cavalry, Arlington, April 12, 1907.
Good words.
Nice quote.
Obama is so evil and completely and transparently un-American that it is still hard for me to believe he was actually elected.
“Unscrupulous poor”....(and rich)....THAT’s worth keeping!!!
A brilliant, brilliant piece by Mr. Henninger of the WSJ
Obama is not only following Chavez butin effectHitler, Stalin, Mao, Castro, and all throughout history, who have sought unlimited power through the purveying of, yes, murderous division, envy and hatrednot just that of economic differences but, indeed, of any difference contrary to the intent of the dictator.
No doubt children in U. S. kindergartens and above will before long be encouraged to report “counter-revolutionary” acts and even (supposed) c-r thoughts by their parents . . .
A great parody could be, and should be, done of Signor Don Corelone Barack Obamaand his foppery, which unfortunately like that of all aspiring dictators, often turns out to be deadly real . . . . This is made for Rushmay he run with it.
It’s my understanding Osawatomie, Kansas.....has a big mental institution there. He should have checked himself in........
Obama and his speech writers are ignorant and disconnected from those they claim they want to help.
You don't take your children to a food bank for a decent meal. They are not cooking meals at food banks. They are giving out staples and canned goods that you cook at home. You take your children to a food bank so they can help carry the bags or boxes of food.
I RESENT THAT!!!

Excellent comments, perfectly apropos
And to think that we voluntarily elected Bambi...but of course Chavez also got elected, sort of. He had been captured and the generals were going to ship him to Cuba, and GWB (probably because of the intervention of his at that time very leftwing Latin American State Dept. representative - a holdover from Clinton, IIRC) told them to let him go.
I want a president who really understands what the US needs - and, paraphrasing a long gone General Motors chairman, what's good for the US is good for Latin America. In other words, commerce.
