Just remember gang... if the little Lovely’s get aflatoxin unknown and you are kissing them or touching their poo etc where do you think that Aflalatoxin?
Thats right! On your skin!
What is the body’s largest living organ? Skin!
Please be careful and be aware. I love my labbie, she has a lot of health issues.
We do not sleep together, I do not let her lick any one’s face or hands. We spend our days together and walk through life together but we are not intimate!
She occasssionally needs alot of meds due to undetermined reasons. My Vet is very progressive and very smart, he’s saved her more than once!

Please wear gloves when giving pills, external meds or picking up poop. WE never know what they have gotten into! Pet Parks are a bad idea for us.

My girl is hyper sensitive and the less exposure the better. She has lots of pals in the hood, they play and have fun but when it comes to her health and my family’s health, We don’t mess around!

Our dang dog food is 89 bucks a bag! DOES not make me happy, believe me!
WE don’t call her “the Six Million Dollar Dog” for nothing!

She’s very well loved and very well cared for but intimate contact other than play and fur rubs is limited.

God Bless all of our furry friends and their families.

Given how our “far back ancestors” lived, I think we have more to fear from our overly-sanitary lives these days.

Exposure to germs, dirt, animals, etc. - within reason, helps us build a healthy immune system that doesn’t get bored and turn on us, mistaking our own organs for invading organisms.

You can get sick from atafloxin from eating cheap peanut butter or old peanuts, for heaven’s sake, and you are worried about your dog making you sick?

I never worry about picking up poop, let my dogs lick me all the time, and let them cuddle with me for a bit before sleep at night, or while enjoying an afternoon nap. I grew up on a farm, never washed my hands, enjoyed fruits and berries (unwashed), and am still here, healthy in my dotage.

You really worry too much about stuff, in my ever-so-humble opinion. That will really shorten your life!

Feed your dog properly (raw meaty diet), and you will have a whole lot less to worry about, but your progressive vet might be very disappointed when you do not call on him any more.

There’s aflatoxin itself, then there’s the molds (IIRC) that produce it. This is something that peanuts are also susceptible to, though modern sanitary practices makes it extremely rare. I doubt that contact with the mold would harm any otherwise healthy human. If the pet got the toxin it would be seriously ill and you’d be taking it to the vet, not snuggling it at home.

Cats keep themselves cleaner than dogs (so there!)
