What compelling government interest, and under what limited and enumerated power, do you suppose making oral sex between two married individuals illegal would fall under?

Do you believe in a limited government?

Do you believe in individual liberty?

The government interest is just that other taxpayers shouldn't be stuck paying for all the diseases that they will pass back and forth.

My own thing is I would not want to be a -————— by proxy.

Why would you want to kiss a mouth knowing what had been in there?

It is extremely degrading and wife abuse to make your wife do that.

She will soon want the taxpayers to support her.

There is (and can be) NO SUCH LEGITIMATE interest. Not between husband and wife. Not involving CONSENTING behavior between them. I can understand and approve of keeping open homosexuals out of the services. I can even understand and approve of keeping sexual activity AT HOME, IN THE BEDROOM, and not in some public venue, as one poster, in her ignorance, suggested. But to assert some proper and legitimate government interest in private sexual behaviors of husband and wife is beyond absurd. Even unmarried individuals, when in private, are NOT proper targets of government snooping.

I agree with you. And while I agree with the idea of the Defense of Marriage Act, it’s the same thing. There is nowhere in the Constitution that gives the government the power to legislate on moral issues.
