Nothing about the Log Cabin Republicans ever struck me as Christian.

After 3 years of the teleprompter and all the hooplah about how smart The One is, wouldn’t it be nice to have an ordinary American

Sure, it would be nice. I wish we could go back to the way campaigning was done in the Lincol -Douglas race.

And we would all probably like a president as "ordinary" and plain-spoken as Truman (if we could magically transform him into a constitutionalist Republican).

But that's not reality anymore, and we can't go back. Today a candidate, no matter how honest and philosophically true to the constitution, can get go nowhere unless he or she is also capable of cultivating a media-savvy persona and a quick wit. He or she will also be left in the dust without a comprehensive knowledge of issues both foreign and domestic, that the candidate is capable of drawing on, articulately, in front of the tv lights, and in an instant.

What are you saying? From all reports on the Huckabee forum, Governor Rick Perry gave his strongest performance. When Perry said that he would wipe Obamacare off the face of the earth with an executive order, that’s when Cuccinelli questioned how he could eliminate a law of Congress with executive action. Perry gave all a lesson in his executive expertise by saying that an executive order could stop “parts” of the health care law which would render it ineffective. He also said, “But also, as I said earlier, having men and women in those agencies who are going to share your philosophy – I think that’s an important message.”

Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi: “Perry is the one that lived up to being the 10th Amendment Purist Tonight”

Tweet from Ann Coulter to David Limbaugh: “I thought ole Rick Perry did very well.”

“I THINK RICK PERRY HAD HIS BEST DEBATE TONIGHT, I WOULD HAVE TO SAY THIS WAS HIS FINEST HOUR, HE HAD SOME TOUGH QUESTIONS, AND HE ANSWERED THEM WELL, HE KNOWS THE CONSTITUTION, AND STICKS TO IT, I WOULD HAVE TO SAY HE STUCK OUT AS THE MOST CONSERVATIVE CANDIDATE IN THE DEBATE TONIGHT !” ~ MIKE HUCKABEE

Perry didn’t say there was something wrong with gays serving openly in the military (although we know he thinks it). He said there’s something wrong when gays can serve openly but kids can’t pray openly in school or celebrate Christmas openly in school.

Correct analysis. He sees every attempt by the left to turn us into Rome, and he has a rollback planned for every ‘success’ they’ve shoved down our throats. Let the man do his work.

I did not know Huckabee “has no fondness” for Perry. What’s that about? -------------------

This goes back to the commandment 'Thou shalt not take the Lord's name in Vain'.

What that commandment really meant is DON'T USE THE LORD'S NAME TO PROFIT YOURSELF IF YOU ARE A POSER CHRISTIAN. AND YOU POSER CHRISTIANS KNOW WHO YOU ARE.

It has nothing to do with swear words. /quix

I'm offended but that is ok because I know how rough politics can be. I am an evangelical Christian who Loves the Lord Jesus Christ. I'm not a poser, just want to know because I like Huckabee and I want Perry to be our next POTUS. You totally misunderstood my questioning. If you new me personally, you would have not came to that conclusion.

Oh, no, do not be offended - that was for Huckabee, a poser Christian. I was just quoting your quoting of him.

He will. Every FReeper needs to feel him and he needs to feel the serious support from us. ‘Feel’ meaning understanding and protection on both sides, not a gangsta phrase.

Onward we go.
