I’m a Newt supporter and I hate Princess Nancy as much as anyone, but I can’t help thinking that any mud-slinging contest has to hurt Newt more than it does the princess.

She’s not running for prez, he is.

But the bigger question is, if she really has something, why would she bring this up now? Why not wait until after Newt is nominated (assuming)?

The fact that she’s bringing it up now, even before Iowa, makes me think it’s all a bluff.

I think the dems are trying to get Romney to be the nominee, so the assault is on any other candidate. They believe that 0bama can beat Romney, not so much some of the others.

That is true enough, but...she is running for Speaker if the Dems get the majority again. If she breaks the ethics committee's confidentiality rules, it will destroy her chances of getting the Speakership back.

IOW, she has skin in the game (Uggh!).

It makes me think that she's scared that Newt might win the nomination over Romney.
