“The Center for American Progress...and Media Matters...have emerged as vocal critics of their partys [Democrats] staunchly pro-Israel congressional leadership...”
The Democratic Party “Leadership” is “staunchly pro-Israel?”
In what alternative universe did that happen?
——————————————————————————————”...Barack Obamas White House...has acted as a reluctant ally to Benjamin Netanyahus Israeli government.”
This is a joke, right?

If there’s one thing the not-so-pro-Israel Jews I know really hate, it’s being overtly treated as if they’re stupid. If they start thinking Obama is going to make them look (more) stupid, it’s game over for NY fundraising.

Since the Democratic Party has abandoned the white working class, I don't see why they wouldn't abandon Israel too. One thing they won't be abandoning is intrusive, statist, big-government, nanny-state socialism. Of that you can be sure.

The left in Israel (and the US) is anti-deomocratic.
In Israel the left wants to get the US to pressure the democratically elected government to change course. They can’t get it done by election because they are a minority so they want it imposed from the outside.
How sick is that.

Normally, the left-leaning Ben Smith of POLITICO annoys me. But after reading this tedious article describing in detail the infighting concerning Israel among the Democrats and their think tank appendages, I must confess to a sense of Schadenfreude. It all seems to portend Obama's loss of a good chunk of the pro-Israel vote come next November.
