I want to like Perry, and I do from a personal perspective. But it would be painful to watch him debate Obama.
McCain was bad enough. I could only take 10 minutes of one of the debates, when I groaned, rolled over, and went to bed, with this sinking feeling that all was lost.
Sen. McCain would not GO AFTER Obama tooth and nail on the campaign trail.
Gov. Perry will. When the Bush-Rove-Hutchison Machine set up a 2010 Primary challenge against Perry, he came from 20pts back and finished 20pts ahead. Now Kay and the Texas establishment is withholding their support from Gov. Perry but that will change.
1. It's painful to watch Obama, anytime.
2. Perry would love to debate Obama...it would come naturally. Obama has been attacking Texas since he was sworn in! Perry does not like Obama!!!
I’ll take Gov. Perry’s straight-talking “bumbling” over the TeleprompTerKid any day. I think Alfred E. Obozo would freeze up himself at Gov. Perry’s shoot-from-the-hip comments, especially on topics deemed “taboo” inside the beltway. I think the pResident is the one who will be babbling in a debate, especially if TOTUS refuses to attend.
I think you can put a stuffed squirrel on the end of a stick to debate 0 with little child hiding behind the podium to make chirping noises each time the stuffed squirrel is asked a question, and the stuffed squirrel will beat 0 in the election.
Man up. Perry will be fine. Obama gets totally confused without his teleprompter.
Let’s not bet the farm on a debate between Perry & Obama. That debate will be over and done in one hour. Then what? We need a man of Perry’s character and conservative convictions to take the bull by the horns and get the economy and the country back in the saddle.
I like Newt. A lot. However, when push comes to shove, whose record is conservative to the absolute core? No global warming. No individual mandate. No reaching across the aisle to mollycoddle the libtards.
Rick Perry.
