Whatever happened to self defense? This is just one more example of how our country has gone to heck!
One of the first things you do, if you want to destroy a country, is to convince the populace that a violent response to evil is itself always evil. Then, there is no one left to fight. It is the culmination of Burke’s warning of what happens when good men do nothing.

My question too and where will our future military men and women be found? In the ranks of the transgendered 8 year-olds?
Self defense is one of the most basic traits of human nature. Had this been a young girl defending herself, perhaps the attitude would have been different - and that is discrimination.
Plant the idea in the minds of children that self-defense is wrong and you can take their guns away when they are adults. Even better, they won’t want to buy guns in the first place.
