When I was 11, I saw the movie "The Final Countdown", where the USS Nimitz is thrown back in time and attempts to stop the attack. The next day I went to the school library, checked out two books about the attack, and I've been hooked ever since.
My youngest son took an early interest in “Pearl Harbor Day” after I took my children to the USS Arizona Monument when they were all young. He’s accumulated several books over the years, so he shares your interest in the WWII Pacific Theater. The number of surviors are dwindling. Very sad day in America, which I hope will never be forgotten.
Thanks again. Good night and God bless you, dear freind.
Wen they started to move from VHS to DVD I found many movies and at the time was interested in learning more about Pearl harbor since the re-make of the movie Pearl Harbor was now in my possession.
As I went along I found the original movie and from then on found “Midway” and others about how things went in both wars. That does get you hooked....and so my library has increased accoringly.
