The operation to occupy a vacant foreclosed home in Brooklyn on behalf of a homeless family from New York City appears to be a success. The front door of the two-story brick house on Vermont Street apparently was unlocked when the marchers arrived.
Alfredo Carrasquillo, the father of the homeless family, thanked the marchers for at least temporarily providing them with a home.
****
Police who escorted the marchers through Brooklyn stopped when the marchers arrived at the home and remained a distance away as the celebration of the liberation of the foreclosed home began. A brass band played, people danced and food was passed around as the cleanup crew got down to business.

It’s gotten so out of hand that soon the “occupiers” will try to occupy already Occupied homes. No wonder Black Friday had good gun sales...........for protection.....

More and more, Bloomberg has to be compelled to protect the lawful citizens and property. Nothing like providing a police escort for the barbarians within the gates.

1600 Penn Ave will be vacant the last half of December. Perhaps OWS should send a homeless family to live there.

Maybe these fools live (roam...since they are "homeless") in Maryland, THE Freak state where the "unfortunate are given free cell phones and 150 minutes per month. They are referred to as "Liberty Phones" or some other liberal-language BS.

If law enforcement continues to stand by while the Occupy thugs steal the property of others, the next step will be to "occupy" the property of Americans they feeeeeel have too much house, or too much land, or too many cars.
He'll ban salt shakers from the table and forbid the use of transfats in food, but defend private property? Nah.

In one part of NY state they are now raising property taxes by...
30%
!!!
That should keep all the NY liberals happy!

It is heartening to read the comments to the article at the link.
Probably >90% are strongly against this. Even at a lib publication like US News, they recognize how wrong this is.
Of course there are a few comments that are from the clueless

Exactly, that was my meaning too. I know of a nice red brick home in Chicago with a large side yard. It should be sitting empty since Bozo’s occupying the White House!

Hope it’s an all Liberal area. Should they want to move, who will buy there? I remember about Rush leaving New York because of taxes.
