I have worked at our county courthouse for nearly 35 years. I would promptly march out and take it down. I would face the consequences and sleep well at night (probably in the county lockup) and take the next one down if it reappeared.

Yep.

There needs to be some workable middle ground between beliefs (”forgiveness”; “turning the other cheek”) and societal realities (allowing miscreants, whose goal is to target one faith as the sole source of “evil” in the world, and to work ceaslessly to obliterate it), IMHO.
