When people started pushing this idea after 9/11 about a "War on Terror", a lot of us knew it was a bad idea to talk about a war on a concept, since it would inevitably lead to a war without end.
Nothing surprises me anymore. Our grandchildren and their grandchildren will someday be cursing us for letting all of this happen on our watch.
That is, if they even realize what they have lost.
