“Gingrich leads, but Paul most likely to beat Obama in latest Iowa poll”

I think it should read:

Paul is the ONLY candidate who can beat Obama.

Why?

Romney, Gingrich, et al, are all globalists, big government folks, have no spending reduction plan, and pander to the crowd on the issue-du-jeur. They are for NAFTA open borders, they love Nato, EU, Seato, and any other entangling alliance that weakens America and rips us off.

With those credentials, why not vote for Obama? (about 95% the same platform)

If you want four more years of Obama, then select Romney or Gringrich as your Republican candidate.

Sure, you can infiltrate FreeRepublic and tell folks how they ought to vote. Nobody will suspect anything.

Yeah, I think you’re right on there.

The other thing that the GOP has a track record of nominating people who are programmed to lose. Dole and McCain are the two cases in point. Both these guys got good press, until the GE, when the MSM turned on them like a bad penny. I think Gingrich would get much the same treatment.

I think Paul would take a lot (if not most) of the Youth vote from Obama and most of the Independents too. Unfortunately, I think a lot of Republicans would also stay home on Election day. Personally, I’m really uncomfortable with some of Paul’s foreign policy beliefs.
