He’s absolutely right. Unfortunately, it sounds like he has something to hide, and is trying to make sure she doesn’t reveal information he doesn’t want us to know.

Having done so, the question will now be asked of him — what information is she talking about? And since he was the subject of the investigation, there are no ethical problems with him sharing the information.

So she won’t have to reveal it. Just by disclosing that there IS information, Gingrich will have to disclose it, or else the media will go into a frenzy about what he is hiding and why. They will even speculate, and if he denies it, there will be calls for him to release the ethics committee to reveal the reports to PROVE that he isn’t lying now.

This is how the game is played. Gingrich is absolutely right that the ethics reports should never be leaked. But he’s running for a public office, and some voters will feel they have a right to know what was in those reports — or else they will just not vote for him.

See my post#60. The fact that Gingrich paid a $300,000 fine and admitted that he submitted false information to the committee is damning enough without further details.

There were 84 ethics charges filed against Newt, 83 were found to be baseless. It was a rope-a-dope to deflect attention from the Clinton/Lewinsky debacle. If they had anything against Gingrich, it would have been released a thousand times before today. Actually, to me, Pelosi sounds like she is threatening Newt, and she should be called on the floor for this kind of behavior. Guarantee you she has nothing, but the statment alone is loaded and she knows that alone will get attention.
