Did the S&W guy say you could shoot .300 whisper and .300 blackout in the same upper?

It is not South African. I have a Case of that stuff, damn good ammo. I thought $250 was a pile of money fore in when I bought it.
Boy am I glad I bought it
Battle packs in the resealable spam can.

Yes but I missed the part you can use it on a .223 lower.
Still trying to figure it out.

Yes. You can use it on a regular AR lower. Even use the same 5.56 magazines.

There are so many options with the AR15 that I get confused.

I’m surprised you can use the same recoil spring...

Its basically a .223 shell that has been renecked for 30 cal.
I like the idea of it. Ammo could be a problem to get, but it would be readily available if you roll your own since .223 brass and 30 cal bullets are ubiquitous.
There seems to be some controversy as to .223 brass being safe after resizing.

As a side note, .223 brass can be used to produce 7.62x25 tokarev

There is also a gas block valve to adjust between low and high velocity.

Seems like the major advantage of the cartridge is that it can be built of the ubiquitous .223/5.56x45 shell casing and that it will work with stock lowers and magazines

You mean the same buffer?
I think that has more to do with the length of the barrel.

Also the cartridge can be loaded to deliver a whollop at subsonic speeds, hence the “whisper”

The heavier bullets are subsonic and the lighter bullets are supersonic?
