People say this, but they forget that McCain never bottomed out into single digits, he didn't fall as hard and as far as Bachmann or Perry, and his rise was already starting by this time in 2007. None of the bottom four candidates - Bachmann, Perry, Huntsman, Santorum, are on a rise like McCain was in 2007.
I'm not a big fan of Newt, but unfortunately if we are going to look at 2007 as a guide, Newt is in the best position to be compared to McCain, with Cain taking over Giuliani's roll.
However, Cain is in a lot better position than Giuliani was, and the media is discovering that it cannot completely destroy Cain, even though they are putting their effort into it, and even have Fox News on their side.
