Adultery is an issue "about right and wrong, truth and lies." That is why no candidate deserves blind, unquestioning obedience. If the allegations are true (and that is a big IF) then Herman Cain has betrayed the fundamental values - including "family" values - of the Republican Party - and, as you say, the "American Way."
I for one will wait and see if the allegations are proven or, hopefully, disproven.

So, how does one ‘disprove’ an unfounded allegation other than a concrete denial? For example, suppose I say that someone I know claims that YOU not only are adulterously promiscuous, but homosexual in your immoral pursuits. Now, please ‘disprove’ these allegations in a way other than a concrete denial or the character testimony of a friend........I’ll be waiting....
