I don’t think you want to know the answers to your questions but I will take you seriously.

Perry did not force anyone to take Gardisal. He thought it would protect girls from getting cancer in the future. The medical community still supports that belief.

The only way kids could get the vaccine and not have to pay was to mandate it. There was always an easy opt out.

When he realized the people didn’t want it, he dropped it. when Obama realized people didn’t want Obamacare, he pushed it through.

The donation Perry’s campaign received from Merck was modest indeed, not worth mentioning. If Perry could be bought (and he can’t) it would take a lot more money.

And, yes, Perry respects his wife. I admire that. I believe she is or was a nurse and she believed in the vaccine.

I just read an article (while in the doctor’s office) in a medical journal which stated that his vaccine is still recommended, and now for boys as well.

I’m not on board with the popular notion of bashing the pharma industry. They have done more for our health than all the doctors combined. They devote tons of money and years to research that may or may not pay off.

Do we believe in the free enerprise system or not?

You probably take 8 or 10 drugs... that keep you alive. Maybe not you, but someone in your family or someone you know.

See how much we “think” we know about people and yet we can be so way off base?

I have a member of my family that suffers from fibromyalgia and takes nothing. My ma is 78 and takes the smallest dose water pill. My pop died of cancer..since he didn’t want to go through traditional treatment..the doctors didn’t treat him for pain..he sat at home without pain meds until six days before he died. No, our family does not depend on meds to get them through.

I asked about the HPV shot because I was lookin’ at Perry before I heard about it. In my mind, there is not enough reason to mandate stuff like that to people. How many people gave it against their will and didn’t realize how to go about opting out. There was a local tv news about a 13 yr old girl that had the first shot..went home and couldn’t move. She had been active in sports and could no longer get off the couch. My gosh..she wasn’t having sex. There are doctors out there that caution patients against having it..just sayin’.

I’m not talking about the legit donation that may or may not have come to Perry from Merck. I’m talking lobbyist and their powers to persuade politicians to do their bidding. I can’t remember if it was a brother-in-law or what of Perry’s that an article said was involved with Merck. That has to be anwered for me to even start to look at him seriously.

I believe in free enterprise..I also believe citizens shouldn’t be brow beat to take shots whether HPV or flu in order for some company like Merck to make their millions.
