and a very brave American war hero.. prayers for a full recovery
McGovern was a B-24 of B-25 bomber pilot during WW2 and flew missions in the Adriatic region (Italy, Romania?, Yugoslavia, etc). His plane was forced down on an island in the Adriatice controlled by Comrade Tito’s “Partisans” and McGOvern was treated well by them.
He came back to the US with glowing praise for Tito and his red forces and helped betray the true American ally in Yugoslavia, Gen. Milhailovic and his Chetnik forces, who saved over 400 American (and perhaps other allied fliers) who went down in German-controlled Yugoslavia.
McGovern net met a red he didn’t like, and you can take that to the bank.
Also, besides his betrayals on Vietnam, he was also a strong proponent of open borders/immigration (wiping out the anti-communist clauses) which allowed all kinds of pro-communist and jihadist terrorists to come into the US when the hardcore sections of the Walter-McCarren Immigration Act were wiped out.
He was a traitor despite what he did during WW2. Look at him as a modern Benedict Arnold. If the analogy fits, wear it. it does.
