Was that (#40) a picture of Newt and his daughter, or has Charlie Sheen really let himself go that badly?
I would vote for Casey Anthony or Madoff over Obama.
Newt's first wife was his high school geometry teacher. He dated her while he was her student - not a wise decision by either one.
She was nine years Newt's senior and basically worked to support him when he started his political career.
Newt is a brilliant man who makes some incredibly stupid decisions.

Well, I lead you on a bit because you were so condemning of the lady as though Newt had no brains to make his own decisions. But, I was getting around to those marriages were between those people - and God - not us.
It would help you feel better if you would leave the condemnation or forgiveness between God and them. Let God take care of that while Newt and his supporters, including me, kick Obama out of our White House.
What bothers me is the double standard. When Dems commit adultery, wreck homes, divorce, etc., we have no trouble taking that into acct when assessing their character, decency, self-control, decision-making abilities, etc. When a popular GOPer does it, they get a pass. Or if they don’t get a pass, then the people commenting on their lack of fidelity or other failings get smacked around. That bothers me. Double standards are for Dems and liberals.
I’m not suggesting Cain’s conduct has not been a contributing factor.

Newt’s relationship to God is none of my business. His moral turpitude is, because it shows his character. Having a slut as first lady doesn’t appeal to me either, but to each his or her own.

The Chicago machine has been picking off the 'pubbie front runners in rotation, just like Obama got his Senate seat. As soon as there is no one left to oppose him (Mitt is on board with all that Obamacare stuff), we'll have an election.

I don’t want to think how long it took to do the hair and make-up in the blue-eye shadow pic. The results are ghastly, but that doesn’t mean it happened quickly. She spends a lot of time on that face.
You have that right. While I know things get complicated sometimes and people are flawed and of course in context that Newt was 16 when he started things with his first love 24 year old Jackie Bately his Geometry teacher. I’ve not did a whole lot of research but the troubling part is his series of alleged affairs with campaign workers and serial divorces. The worst I’ve read makes anything alleged against Herman Cain look tame. Now of course this is old news and it is one thing to revisit the known flaws of a man verses the flaws of a man one was not aware of.
The question is will Newt’s rise to higher office result in new temptations.

The problem I’m having is the deeper I look the worse stuff I find. Newt has also shown just as much a promiscuity with ideas as he has shown with women. While I do believe he is generally conservative but he has demonstrated clearly that he will go off on political tangents and down convenient ‘rabbit holes’. I’m just not sure if I want to go down the ‘rabbit hole’ with Newt Gingrich.
I was 11 YEARS OLDER than my husband and we had a great time. He was a Republican County Chairman and he died this past August. I miss him every day.

It’s amazing the pure hatred out there in the MSM for Herman Cain.
It’s as bad, in some ways, as the MSM Palin reaction.
I don’t think Newt would have gotten a chance had Cain not been attacked and then gotten off his game. Surprisingly, Cain was still not losing big percentage points after the first round. So here comes the next one.
It may be that Herman Cain is in trouble with this latest allegation. Yet there’s no doubt that the Dems set out to utterly destroy him.

The key to understanding Newt is to understand Narcissism. Not the common, loosely used term that is tossed around so lightly, but the clinical definition/disorder of Narcissism. Newt fits it to a T.
It’s sad if this is the best the GOP can do. Oh well.
