Former New Jersey Gov. Christie Todd Whitman, who is leading a group to draft a third-party presidential candidate, is encouraging Jon Huntsman to make an independent bid for the White House.
I would hope he would do it, frankly. Hes someone that I would support, Whitman said Friday in an interview with POLITICO.
It is, to an extent, taking on the party, which is awkward, always because it is another process that is not part of what were traditionally used to, Whitman said. For those who were in office, its difficult to stand up because you are taking on your party and you need them, and youve got to be a little bit cautious.
Of course there are skeptics and there are people who are not happy when they hear a name that they recognize supporting something that is outside of the mainstream.

Awww, ferret face might take his ball and his 1% support and run 3rd party. I bet Obama is worried, Huntsman might cut into that limosine liberal vote.

Is Whitman being paid to be a treasonous RINO or is she just doing it for the sheer pleasure?
To: apillar
Wow what a great idea! Take away votes from the Republican nominee and give us 4 more years of Barry! Yeah thanks Whitman and to think I used to like you. Please all of you establishment Repubs STFU!

Noooooooo this is the Duval Patrick strategy. In the last two Mass Gov elections they ran an “Independent” candidate from the middle and Duval sqweeked out wins. Independents fall for this crap every time.

Why did you ever like her? With all her liberalism, I fail to see why she never became a Democrat.

She was better than Florio.

You tell ‘em Christine!
And while your at it, get Olympia Snow, Susan Collins, Dede Scuzzyfava, and Lindsey Lohan Graham to sign up with Jon.
Now that’s a ticket the ladies of ‘The View’ could get behind. A veritable bi-partisan wet dream.
And for sure the idea would be supported by the 18 Republican Senators that voted to confirm Eric Holder as AG.

Daddy’s loaded. He’ll have lots of money to hang on and tap off votes. Of course John Anderson didn’t stop Reagan. Oh that’s right, Reagan’s not running. :-(

Wow. This one wins comedy thread of the day. North East elitist RINO advising an elitist RINO. Thanks for the laugh. Now if the Huntsman girls ran a third party, I would be there. That is my type of party.
