This whole thing is sickening.

Cain has been smeared by practically everyone Left and Right for a month now. Proven liars, deadbeats, and sleezeballs have been brought forth, backed by liberal Obama supporter lawyers and the attack dog media.

And not dingle shred of proof to this day that he committed any crime or grave sin. 6 weeks of the most public and nasty anal exam I’ve ever seen and the worst thing is that Cain gave somebody money and didn’t tell his wife? Something he never denied or lied about when asked? That’s it?

actually I am not that keen on Newt; my preference is the best Candidate that can win. Unfortunately, living in AZ by the time we have our primary the nominee will be probably be set. I did not like McCain but we got stuck with him.
The nominee will probably not be my first or maybe second choice; but one thing for sure, I will vote Republican unlike a lot of the Free Republic followers.

Ditto That, Cain is done.

For you it's been ditto that since day one. So why pile on now? Oh, that's right, you're one of the Perrybots. That's the only way you can draw attention to your wannabe.

wow, why so angry? Proof; unless the latest news out that states Cain paid money to this woman and his wife did not know is wrong, that is pretty much all the proof I need. I like the guy, but he is not going anywhere after admitting this. If he was a Democrat, it is just what they do and he could get elected. You are not going to win in the bible belt admitting you paid money to a woman with your wife not in the loop. It may be innocent, but it looks really bad.

I suspect he’s been “done” in your mind since before these allegations. And they are allegations. Even the woman stated there was no sex involved. Also, the man’s an assistant minister. You think ministers don’t get involved in other people’s lives? You think minister’s wives know everything that occurs between their husband and someone else? There’s a confidentiality issue involved, after all.

But then again, in your life it’s so wrong to do what Mr. Cain allegedly did, but not wrong to pile on someone without proof. I get it. Nice set of values you have.

BTW, I’ve been married happily to my wife for 31 years (beat ya...). We’ve been devoted to one another, neither has ever done anything outside the marriage. But if some woman we knew needed some assistance I’d be happy to help if I thought it would do good. And I know my wife well enough she’d not be upset should I forget to tell her. We’re that close. It happens.

The truth is more likely that they are just desparate to have La Raza Rick at least do better than Wrong Paul - which may be unlikely at this point.

True regarding the poling. I'll wait to see what comes to light about what's behind this. I'm not placing any money on anyone at this point. What's obvious, though, is there's a lot of pretty shameful people around this country who live for someone else's pain. Disgusting.

I think AxleShaft is behind this, though there could be collusion with Romney, Perry or Newtie.

Whole thing is disgusting.

Cain’s private life should be his business and his marital decisions between he and his wife.

But now the bar is set so low any conservative candidate has to get lie after lie thrown at them to the point that admitting to something far lesser is grounds for that person to lose all support and drop out.

So what you think if you are a Newt Perry or whoever supporter? You cheered this slimy attack on for your personal gain and it’s gonna be turned on you tenfold. Think they won’t produce liars and lies to kill your guy?

BTW, I got to thinking after I’d made my post #26, that I’d actually provided money to a few people in the past, women included, when I knew they were in financial difficulty. And I can’t honestly say that on every occasion I’d told my wife about it. It seemed necessary to me, went for a good thing, and that was that. To say that this is somehow unseemly is a joke.

But you’re right. Whoever rises in the GOP camp is going to get the same kind of treatment. It may not be these type of charges, but it will be something the media will love to jump on with glee. These people pushing their own candidates are as clueless what’s in store for them as babes. I don’t want to see anyone smeared, but I’ll gloat within myself over the anguish it causes their loud-mouthed ‘bots...

Are ya payin’ attention Perrybots?

I can see Axle being involved, for sure. But I can’t see a Republican candidate actively going along with it, for the very simple reason that the Dems would just make it known publicly that the Republican candidate actively sabotaged Cain.

It would almost ensure a Democrat victory.

Thanks COBOL2Java.
the boyfriend became the fiance. All of this during this fiasco. Then she's up there on stage with Allred. She been abandoned now. She has been throw out of her home. Where are the other two sexual harassment babes? Has anybody stopped to realize nothing has come of those sexual harassment charges other than the charges? I mean, the women are gone... they made their charges, they're gone. Three weeks later when nothing really comes of it, then we've got Ginger White emergence. It's doubtful that it's the regime doing this. If this were the Democrats, they'd wait 'til Cain got the nomination I think. Doesn't matter... Apparently, according to Capehart, Herman Cain and his wife just aren't lying enough. If they'd just come out and tell a lie like Clinton did! Clinton and Hillary. You know, Hillary went out and went on the Today Show and blamed the "vast, right wing conspiracy." That's how you do it! That's how you do it! You don't rely on the truth. For crying out loud, this is politics, man...
Rush is on fire.

Likewise - I do small, pay it forward, types of gifts when friends or family are in financial trouble. And I don’t always tell my husband. We each take a small amount each week that is ours to spend as we like.

You know that lady who comes up to you and says her car broke down and she has no way to get home to her starving kids if you don’t give her a few bucks for gas? I give her the few bucks. Or sometimes not. But I don’t tell my wife. She doesn’t like me doing it. Thinks it puts me in danger. This thing with Cain is so trivial it would be laughable, but for the tragedy of FReepers and others who are so gullible or otherwise willing to believe unproven slanders against a fellow conservative.

There’s nothing wrong with that. We are our brother’s keeper. It’s the intention that counts. And I’ve seen nothing (other that what this woman has tried to allege) that there was anything improper in this case. She claims affair yet says it wasn’t about sex. Well, then what was it about? No one asks that. Yet a lot, even on this forum, love to pile on. It’s disgusting and shameful.

I'm at the point I no longer consider them FReepers. Users, manipulators, yes.

I'm glad to see Cain's supporters here standing with their guy. All these attacks are being promoted by the very same media that refused to "vet" Obama at all. I'm not a TV watcher at all, but I know and include FOX in that same group.

They (the MSM) threw the 2008 election by running contrary to all journalistic standards which they ignore now with pride. Thanks to Sarah Palin for proving it over and over as well; To say they jumped the shark in trying to hurt her is almost jumping the shark.

I like the fact that Cain is still standing through all this muck raking. It shows character. If his supporters follow that lead, it shows just how unimportant the news media has made themselves.

Give this another week or so and Cain can simply refuse to discuss any additional bogus charges, and everyone will believe he's untouchable with this kind of bs.

If we aren’t going to support Cain then I guess the Newt is finished too? Newt actually admitted to an affair. Cain so far has not!
