#2: Why would another of the boys say they are lying?
Any variety of reasons, including that the boy did not witness the abuse and honestly believes what he says.
#3: Why would they do something that would be so obvious to most heterosexuals (gays molesting/assaulting boys)?
Considering that homosexual couples are a politically and legally protected class, they may have felt that they were untouchable.
#4: Why don't I believe this, yet I believe Sandusky did assault boys?
I would be hard pressed to tell anyone the reason why they believe something :-)
Carlos Harasz, 19, said Wednesday that he has lived with Wirth and Harasz for more than 10 years. He said that he had never witnessed or experienced the abuse the two are accused of committing.
Carlos Harasz, a student at Central Connecticut State University, said that he and his siblings were shuffled among foster families and were suffering from "reactive attachment disorder," which is common among children who have been passed from home to home or who have been removed from their parents' homes.
The condition can be lifelong, and its symptoms include withdrawal, aggression, lying, stealing and pushing away adults who attempt a lasting emotional connection.
The allegations against Harasz and Wirth were directly attributable to reactive attachment disorder, Carlos Harasz said.
