While you were preparing for Thanksgiving and President Obama was sparing the life of a couple of photo op turkeys, he also approved legislation that will result in the domestic slaughter of thousands of horses every year for human food.
For the past half-decade the relatives of Flicka, Black Beauty and Seabiscuit have been spared the domestic livestock disassembly line -- the quick blow to the head, bleeding, eviscerating, slicing, grinding, packaging and cooking that comes with being edible around hungry Americans or shipped abroad as a delicacy for foreign palates.

You know, there’s something really emblematic about this.
Zillions of people are out of work, and the Obama White House makes it possible again to consume horseflesh.
Boy, wait’ll I tell “Trigger” and “Topper!”

Slaughtering horses sounds like fun, but what I bet is REALLY fun is shooting gorillas on the Golden Gate Bridge with a machine gun from a helicopter.
That’d make a good birthday present.

In the conference committee, the Senate version won by a nose. And Obama quietly signed the death warrant legislation on Nov. 18. He was abroad again at the time. So the White House used a robot pen. What?

I wonder if Restaurant Suppliers will start carrying it. I noticed that beef prices on some cuts went up three dollars a lb from yesterday/November prices when I was at the Suppliers today with the new December prices.
Also, in the past, most beef at the Supplier’s was usda choice, I noticed in the past several weeks, they are bringing in more usda Select cuts...which are now going for what Choice used to go for..
