Congrats to Newt on the Ras poll- wish him only the best. But, I still think Cain/Newt is the better ticket. All considered, I hope Mr. Cain will not drop out. Notwithstanding the poll, I'm certain no other candidate will pack it in-- this primary season has been unarguably volatile. Accordingly, the only apparent reason for Mr. Cain to drop out- would be these latest character allegations. And, for the sake of conservatives (and potentially, Newt), Mr. Cain must not cave to the media/establishment's effort to focus this election on character- when the only issue is Mr. Obama.

Cain needs to fight for his reputation, even if he were to decide to drop out of the race. He has had so many attacks on his character in the last few weeks that - assuming he is not guilty of the charges - need to be refuted.

This is exactly the example of why it is so hard to find REAL, GOOD men to run for President - because they WILL have their personal lives and reputations slandered.

I firmly believe that if Jesus Christ were alive in the flesh today, and were running for President - the media and the Left would crucify Him all over again... I can just hear it -

I was prepared to vote libertarian in 2008 and would have do so had not Sarah Palin arrived on the scene. I am prepared to write-in a Tea Party candidate on 2012 ballot if there isn't one already listed in the Republican or Independent slots. Obama has completely defeated himself. We don't have to be concerned with beating him. What we have to be concerned with is being beaten down ourselves by the Republican establishment. We chanted to Washington "Can you hear us now?" This is not the time to succumb to baseless mudslinging. It is not the time to let the media choose our candidate for us once again. Go, Herman, Go! We want to return to the greatness our nation held, not continue down this path with more of the same.
