Like another 4 years of Obama, sans the need to stand for re-election, would be so much better?
Please understand the the primaries are the time to vote for your favorite candidate, and the general is about stopping the greater of 2 evils (most of the time - 1980 and 1984 being huge exceptions). I really don't much care what someone does behind closed doors so long as they do a good job the rest of the time. We're not electing a preacher, saint or the Messiah, we're electing a politician that has to deal with some monumental problems. While I'd far rather have a very moral and capable leader, I will settle for an immoral and capable leader over a moral dunce, especially now with the fate of the Republic at stake.
He may have been immoral at one time, but that may very well be in the past. People can change. I was immoral at one time. Not that I’m perfect now; far from it. But since the Lord Jesus came into my life, and I was offered and received eternal forgiveness and grace, I’m a new creature, spiritually born into a new life-a life of righteous, integrity, honesty, and caring...26+ years now a new creature. So, too, Newt Gingrich may be a new creature...a new creature in Christ. I give him the benefit of the doubt.
