My husband gave me a Nook Color which I use for the web for FR, FB, Ebay and Etsy. It has maybe 5 books on it and every time I go online to B&N to buy a new book for it, I end up at Amazon where I buy a bunch of used books.
I really don’t like the Nook or my friends’ Kindles. I want real books for the feel, the whole sensory experience.
When th packages arrive my hubbie just shales his head.
We are out of room for bookshelves and books which is why he bought me the Nook.

Feel the same and ‘do’ the same/lol. Love mah books! They are as much a part of my home as is the furniture. (Husband downloads; I can do same on my i-pad; but no; paper versus notebook/tablet; no comparison/sigh. Of course, realize the ‘day will come’. Just will not be mine; however.

We are out of room for bookshelves and books

Three of the walls in My bedroom are floor to ceiling book shelves. The next project is pulling the bed out from the wall and putting in more book shelves. I feel very secure sleeping in the midst of knowledge.

For book lovers, never mind the rest, there will never be a good substitute for a leather- or buckram-bound book, printed letterpress on fine laid paper, redolent of ink and wood pulp. And then to have the pages disappear as one enters the world created by the author.
