Ironic. It was only a few short weeks ago that EVERYONE knew Cain was going to be the nominee and only a few short weeks before that EVERYONE knew Perry was going to be the nominee and only a few short weeks before that....

The difference is that Gingrich’s position has been earned by excellence in debate, interview, appearance, and public statement.

Cain and Perry fumbled the ball. Bachmann bumbled the ball. Santorum never got the ball. And Paul blew up the ball.

There are a number of adjectives I would place in front of Newt’s campaign. Excellence is NOT one of them. Once again - no votes have been cast yet. We’ll see whether Newt’s newfound popularity translates into a primary victory.

His command of his message, his command of the language, his ability to think on his feet, the depth of his response.

You might not like Aaron Rodgers, but you’ve gotta admit he’s one fine quarterback.

With his recent rise in the polls, Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich is crisscrossing the nation with a message that he is the conservative alternative to Mitt Romney. But in another season of his life, Gingrich carried out a very different mission: promoting moderates.

Looks like Willard's operatives have fired their first salvo against the new front-runner.

I’m not a Willard operative. Newt’s baggage is massive. It’s going to come to light sooner or later. I prefer sooner.

Imagine this headline:

President Gingrich nominates Scozzafava for Supreme Court

So let’s give the ball to Santorum and watch him run with it.

Mittens and Newton are certainly not “our best choices.” Have you tried Santorum?

Sorry, I missed that line from Santorum about illegal aliens paying in-state tuition. I guess he’s got baggage too, but less baggage than Mittens and Newton.

Have you thought about backing Santorum? Less baggage

You don’t think he’d nominate Specter for SCOTUS do you?

No, I don’t imagine Santorum has Specter’s support, but Santorum was tricked by GWB and Specter in 2004. I believe though the voting record shows that Santorum is more conservative than Toomey has been.

“Speaking of tyranny, have you read this?

‘U.S. Congress enacts laws to hold civilians under indefinite military detention without trial’

And some Freepers continue to support RINO’s like Newt and Romney.

VOTE FOR TRUE CONSERVATIVES.”

Who do you support? I’m not giving away who I support just yet. >.<

I never decide on a candidate this early in the game. There may be candidates who attract my attention, but I rarely make a firm decision with so many months to go before the election cycle.

Cain and Perry looked promising. We’ll see what unfolds within the coming months.
