Never knew you were a comedienne. Wish I knew more about that. I agree you outclass Laz, but Laz never presented himself as anything but an un-self conscious low class joker anyhow. So you play in New York (clap clap clap clap clap) and Laz plays in Pascagoula (Yee haw!) It takes many kinds to make a world. I’m more the yee haw kind, but I can put myself in others’ shoes well enough to appreciate the entire spectrum.

No, I’m a playwright. I often write comedies. They are super difficult because you have to use every single word carefully and tentatively - or else, you ruin the joke. Much harder than death, taxes or drama! Both my father and brother were and are very successful comedy writers in Hollywood and New York. So I’m very proud of my heritage. They taught me from childhood what was funny and what was not. Of course, it was a very urban, basically Jewish-humor world I grew up in. Not at all Hee Haw.
